Your Privacy at PlaySide

This page explains what data playside.gg picks up when you visit, why we hold it, and the controls you have over it. Writing honest casino reviews needs almost nothing from readers, so that is the line we hold to.

What we actually collect

PlaySide.gg runs no player accounts. No deposit, wager or withdrawal passes through our servers. What we do see is limited: the pages you open, an approximate region, and the browser and device sending the request. That data reaches us through Microsoft Clarity and Matomo, alongside anything you personally choose to send by email.

Data type How we obtain it Why we hold it
Pages viewed and click paths Analytics scripts (once you consent) To see which reviews and guides earn their place
Approximate location (country, region) Derived from your IP address To show region-relevant content and comply with local rules
Device and browser fingerprint (broad type) Standard request headers To fix layout bugs and prioritise mobile testing
Anything in an email you send us You choose to send it To reply and, if relevant, to update the site

Cookies and how we measure traffic

Cookies and similar tools tell us how readers move through the site and which pages are pulling their weight. The numbers are read in aggregate. We do not use them to identify you as an individual. Block or clear cookies whenever you like: the site still works, our dashboards just show a little less.

Affiliate links and what they see

Many of the outbound casino links on our reviews are affiliate links. If you click one and open an account, the operator can tell the referral came from PlaySide.gg, and that is how we earn a commission. You pay nothing extra, our scoring is unaffected, and the operator does not send your account details back to us.

Third parties, your rights and how to reach us

Some data touches third-party platforms, chiefly our analytics vendors and our email host. Each runs under its own privacy terms. PlaySide.gg does not sell or rent personal data, and never will. Readers in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or any jurisdiction with equivalent protections can ask us to disclose, correct or delete whatever personal information we hold.

Send those requests, and any other questions about this document, to [email protected]. We update this page when our tooling or the law changes; the version you are reading is current as of 2026.
